It wasn’t funny when it was trying to be and it definitely wasn’t scary, but…. The story was paper thin and it took forever to figure out what it was trying to be.
Haunted Mansion 2023 is better than the 2003 film,YAY(not saying much) but this film is tonally incompetent. But the cracks unfold later on from a few jokes falling flat and a story that loses its way later on. It got some scares and a likable ensemble, with LaKeith Stanfield standing out. #HauntedMansion will definitely appeal more to fans of the Disney ride. In lieu of the #HauntedMansion stars, who are not in attendance at the world premiere due to the actors strike, Disney has its classic villains walking the red carpet /aCc0G30SuK With the SAG-AFTRA strike now underway, actors are prohibited from doing any promotion for their respective projects, so Disney enlisted the likes of Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck, and some of its other most famous characters to walk the red carpet at the Haunted Mansion world premiere instead.Ĭheck out the reactions, new trailer and some video from the event below. Overall, these reactions are fairly positive, although the humor is said to be a little hit-and-miss, and, not too surprisingly, it doesn't sound like the movie is going to win any points for originality. Though the movie will be a family-friendly adventure, this teaser does contain some pretty creepy moments, and if the first social media reactions are any indication, Haunted Mansion won't hold back when it comes to a few genuine scares.
